Envision Math Chapter 14 (Grade 5)
In 2015, our school district adopted the Envision Math Series for our curriculum. We found that the students had a much better time organizing the information to notes. Included you will see the notes and then a filled in version of the notes that were typically posted on a projector, Emo, or white board. This topic also has a quiz and answer key included. **None of the problem solving lessons are included per topic, due to the fact that we teach problem solving through a different curriculum!**

My Survey: A Data Management Project
This is a fun culminating task for your data management unit. With step-by-step instructions, students prepare a survey question, a tally chart and a bar graph using data that they have collected when conducting their survey. They then find the mode, range and median of their data, and draw conclusions based on their findings. A rubric for assessment is also included.

Using Models to Represent Ratios, Rates and Unit Rates Scaffold Notes

Skittles Fractions and decimals table
In this activity each of the students is given 20 skittles at random. They have to insert the amount and colours into their table. The object of the investigation is to then try and work out the fractions, decimals and percentages of each of their different colours of skittles.
