Ridgy Didge Resources

I have taught for 8 years with experience in a variety of grades. My passion is the middle years of primary school. I love using my Early Childhood understanding to assist students that are struggling or have fallen through the gaps in these middle primary years. I love the challenge of working out what it is that is hindering such students from understanding certain concepts and inventing ways to help them understand. The look on their face when they finally 'get it' is priceless!

Learning is important. However, in my classroom, having fun is equally important. Bringing fun into a classroom provides an optimal environment for students to be engaged and therefore interested in what you are trying to teach them. It is important to me that my students leave each day with a smile on their face and something exciting to share with their family or carers every afternoon. If students are having fun, you can guarantee they will be learning. This is always in my mind when I plan my lessons.

I attended the Australian Catholic University, attaining my Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2006. I have a major in Early Childhood Education so am therefore qualified to teach from Pre-K all the way to grade 10.
