I created this rubric when trying to teach my eighth grade class typing. The program I was using graded their speed and accuracy, but I needed something to help me keep account of their form. I give them this rubric every Monday and they are responsible for bringing it to class each day. On Friday, I simply add up their total score and put it in the grade book.

Keyboarding Timed Writing Rubric
I use this for my 7th grade Keyboarding class. Since it is a semester class, I use 30 words a minute for the top goal the first nine weeks I have them, and 40 words a minute the second nine weeks I have them. I add their converted WPM score to the actual Accuracy % and divide by 2 to get the grade I record.This is an editable document.
