TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school and university level English classes for about 7 years now in Guadalajara and Morelia Mexico. Prior to moving to Mexico, I also taught many leadership and team building courses to at-risk students through various social service organizations in Idaho and California. I continue to travel back and forth from Mexico and Idaho.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My educational background is through social work and so I really like to empower my students and encourage them that they are experts and can learn as much as they want to learn. I enjoy a lot of student interaction and try to include team activities where students can really practice their communication skills with other students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

President of the language department at the Universidad del Valle de Mexico from 2014-2018. Was also selected from my school to be enrolled in a "Best Teaching Practices" course.

I have a Master's Degree in Social Work through Boise State University and my undergraduate degree is in Social Science.
