Figurative Language: Google Slides
A great way to introduce figurative language to your students, while also keeping them involved in discussion. Figurative language is introduced as the bridge between a writer and a reader. The Google Slide links to an overview video and includes the definitions for simile, metaphor, hyperbole, and personification. At the end of the presentation, students are able to guess the different types of figurative language using excerpts of Edgar Allan Poe's writing.
