It begins with a song about Martin Luther King, then has picture examples of the words past and present to help my kids understand what we mean when we say the "past". This activity is one I created for my little guys to introduce the concept of using a ruler. Each page has a ruler and an object already placed on it as well as a line to reference where the child should be looking to find out how long it is. When a student selects the correct number (for its placement on the ruler) it has a reinforcing sound. It ends with a few pages of "which one is the longest/shortest" to help reinforce the topic.
