I am a board certified Music Therapist with 12 years of experience. I currently work for a public school system where I serve students in our special education classrooms, grades K-12, and I write songs and develop visual materials to help them learn.
I work in special education classrooms where students are on many different levels cognitively, socially, academically, physically,etc.. I use a lot of pictures when I incorporate power point presentations to go along with my songs. For slightly higher functioning students, I also create motions to go with several of my songs because so many of them learn by doing.
