This is a fun song about the 3 kinds of rocks: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks. In this song each verse is repeated to give the listener a greater chance of hearing and grasping the academic content. This song gives short definitions of each of the 3 kinds of rocks:
1. Igneous rocks are formed when magma or lava cools and hardens.
2. Sedimentary rocks are made of pebbles, sand and clay. they are squeezed together in layers and become buried and cemented to form hard rock.
3. Metamorphic rocks are formed when heat or pressure is applied to igneous or sedimentary rock.
