I have been involved in education for over ten years, spanning from early childhood to high school. I began my career while in college working in an early childhood education center. Upon graduating I moved on the teach ESL in Korea for six years. I have recently moved back to the United States and have been teaching middle school English and high school government and economics.
I believe that the best way to engage the students in my class is to empower them. Classroom discussions add depth and clarity to the educational process. I like to think of myself more as a moderator than an instructor, and let my students guide the lessons.
Our Mock-Election was featured on Time Warner Cable News. It was so exciting for our students and our school! http://www.twcnews.com/tx/austin/news/2016/01/8/east-austin-college-prep-students-get-taste-of-elections.html
