This lesson involves Socratic questioning, lecture, and group work to give students a memorable experience of how complaints are the result of unmet psychological needs in the complainer. It works best with senior level high school students or adults in courses devoted to sociology, psychology, business, or family studies. The duration of the assignment is approximately two class periods each an hour in length, and the desirable class size is twenty to thirty students.
