Teaching students to empathize with others is critical today since it helps all learners to feel connected. The ability to empathize can make our classrooms safer, more inclusive, and can foster important conversations between learners. This writing frame scaffolds students to connect with a text, an author, and themselves to create a connection they might otherwise would not have made.
