My students do weekly literacy centers that they rotate through. This is a checklist I developed so students would know how many times they were expected to go to each center during a week. Each student had a copy of this in a plastic sheet protector in their center binder and would use a Vis-a-Vis marker to initial when they finished a center. I would also give the student choice centers during the week that they could do when they finished other centers.

This is a one page activity that uses dominoes to create the fraction and a dice to determine the whole number. I completed this activity with groups of two students. I had the partners fill in the sheet and then trade it with a fellow group who solved the problems. Students were responsible for writing down the CCSS standards (which had to be up in my classroom as per my principal). This is a 1 page activity for fraction by fraction multiplication and fraction by whole number multiplication. that I used with small groups of two students. Students draw cards from a face down deck to fill in the fraction and whole number boxes (they arranged the cards in whatever way they chose to create the fractions). Students have all of the materials they need to get their work done: a visual checklist, a reflection section, and things to do when they are finished! This multiplication book I made for the end of the year when we were leaning about multiplication and arrays. I had the kids draw (like an array), add, and multiply each equation. When I made the books I copied the cover on construction paper. Then I copied the set of equations and cut them in 2 and then staple on the left hand side the construction paper cover and back. This cuts down on copies. I try to copy all of the covers for the different multiples on different colored construction paper.
