TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 10+ years of experience in education, with 5 of those being a public middle school teacher. I've taught both English Language Arts and Science to 7th and 8th graders.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Students too often miss the big pictures - they need to connect the dots and engage in brain based learning. My resources aim to be as detailed and informative as possible, but always have an element that connects back to the bigger picture that is the natural scientific phenomenon. I use simulations, labs, demonstrations, card sorts, concept maps & more to create resources that allow the students to engage in those brain based connections!
