TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a classroom teacher for 20 years, teaching grades 2 through 5. I have spent most of my years in the upper grades, and consider that my expertise. I am Nationally Board Certified, a master teacher, and have my Masters in Education. I blog about my teaching adventures and classroom ideas at Teaching in Room 6

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe my role in the class should be to impart new knowledge, and the students should be doing everything else. I train my students to be as self-sufficient as possible so that they gain the most out of my class. My motto is, if I am the only one working, I am the only learning...so let's let the kids work and learn!
