TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Bonjour! I fell in love with the French language as a core French student in Grade 4 and have been learning all things français ever since! I have been a FSL teacher for the past 15 years, passing on my love for the language and culture to my grades 4 to 8 students. I love being a ‘Madame’ and could not imagine teaching anything else!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strive to provide my students with the skills needed to become confident language learners and French speakers. I value routine and structure in my classes, and I strive to deliver learning experiences for my students that are meaningful, rich, memorable, and motivating.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

The greatest compliment my students can give is to say, “Wow, French is over already?” To me, that means we had a great class!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and a Bachelor of Education in French and English. I lived in Nantes, France for one year during my university studies where I got to fully embrace the language, culture, history, and pastries!
