Thanks for stopping by! I am certified early childhood-sixth grade and have taught both third and fifth grades. Most of my teaching experience has been with language arts, which you will see reflected in my store.

My goal as a reading teacher is to give students opportunities to love reading. The best days at school are the days when students finish their new favorite book or when I catch them sneakily reading when they are supposed to be doing something else. In order to foster a love of reading I implement reader's workshop, more specifically I follow Fountas and Pinnell's approach. Students spend large parts of the Language Arts block reading and writing about their reading. My most recent products seek to make reading workshop manageable for teachers. Reading workshop can feel like spinning plates, but not if you have the tools to stay organized and focused! Several of my other products pertain to test preparation or concept reviews. These activities are designed focus in on specific skills and strategies to help students become more strategic test-takers. The more focused your test prep is, the less time you have to spend on test prep! Many of these products can be used as group work, which relieves some of the pressure associated with test prep.
