TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Welcome to Stones of Erasmus! - I have been an educator since 2008. I have concentrated my work in independent schools both in Louisiana and in New York City. I have taught English Language Arts and Humanities-based classes to both Middle, High School, and Undergraduate students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Everything I do centers around writing, reading, and reaching out through art, letters, ideas, and my especial love for a good cup of coffee with milk - no sugar. I make lessons that promote critical thinking. I like to select texts that get me and students to go deeper - so the resources I have added here on TpT reflect that philosophy. I'd love to know how you are using the resources I have created - especially if you have any insight or feedback.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

— DeRance Philosophy Scholarship - 2000-2001 — National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Scholar - 2019 — National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Scholar - 2024

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with a Master's in Philosophy from the New School for Social Research in New York City and I have a Master's in English from Southeastern Louisiana University. My Bachelor's degree is from both Saint Joseph Seminary College and the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium in Liberal Arts and Philosophy, respectively.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I grew up in Southern Louisiana so, of course, my heart beats to the rhythm of the Mardi Gras Mambo.
