Real USABLE US History and Government Lessons

I have taught for 7 years - 6 years of US History and Government

My lesson plans include readings, presentations, graphic organizers, questions, and of course ample opportunity for lecture and discussion to meet the different learning styles of students. Each lesson can be adapted to optimize teaching or student learning style.

I teach in a small rural community where I teach all or nearly alll students in the district. I have never had fewer than 90% pass the Regents or fewer than 50% achieve mastery. One year I had 100% pass the Regents and another year I had 82% achieve mastery.

BA - World History/Education MA - US History

Each lesson took between 3-5 hours because I scoured the last 10-12 years of Regents (Jan., June, and Aug.) and designed the lessons around the information acquired from these questions. As a result students are very well prepared for the Regents.
