Pencils and Poppies

After receiving my master's degree from Savannah College of Art Design, I taught kindergarten and elementary aged students ESL while living in South Korea. Once my contract in Korea ended, I returned back to my home state - Florida. I worked as a graphic designer for the Walt Disney Company for several years before becoming a high school graphic design teacher. I took a break from teaching after I had children of my own. And for the past two years, I was a proud homeschool mom to my three children. My kids are now back at brick and mortar school.

I currently live in Newport Coast, California with my husband, three children, two cats, and dog. We are new to California and enjoy exploring our beautiful new state. I take a lot of pride in the work I produce. My extensive graphic design experience, has given me an eye for details and proper type setting. When I first began to homeschool my children I combed through TpT searching for handwriting worksheets for my (at the time) kindergarten son. Unfortunately, there was nothing that fit the bill. All of handwriting products I found were not usable - either the handwriting lines were unevenly spaced, the tracing letters were too small, there were distracting and irrelevant images cluttering the worksheets, etc. Visually, the pages looked like A LOT of work - my five year old wanted nothing to do with these handwriting practice sheets. My son became so frustrated and discouraged it made him HATE handwriting. I did my research and spoke to his occupational therapists. That's when I decided to create my own fonts and design my own handwriting practice sheets for him to use. After seeing the dramatic difference in his attitude and ability to write, I thought maybe others could benefit from these worksheets. And that's how my TpT shop began. :) My hope is that your students/children find the same writing success as my son. When it comes to design and typesetting, there is NOTHING else like my practice sheets on TpT. My shop is less than two years old - because of this I do not have the thousands and thousands of reviews that you may see on the bigger seller's TpT stores. But rest assured, my products are a cut above the rest. Additionally, I love to update my products. I strive to be the best at what I do, and this means I am constantly refreshing and adding more to each of my products. Of course, this is offered to you free of charge once you have purchased the product. I am so GRATEFUL for each and every purchase that is made.
