TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Erin Roberts has been a music and drama teacher for Cajon Valley School District since 2007, and San Diego Unified School District since 2011. She has worked with musical theatre students ages 4-adult in public schools, community organizations, and her own private studio. Erin has performed with the San Diego Symphony, La Jolla Playhouse, Diversionary Theatre and San Diego Fringe Festival, among other organizations, and loves bringing her real-world performance experiences back into the classroom to benefit students.

My curriculum is project/performance based, addresses social emotional learning topics, and meets California's Visual and Performing Arts standards.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Erin Roberts, creator of Musical Theatre U, has worked in the musical theatre industry for over 20 years, including recent performances with San Diego Opera, San Diego Symphony, La Jolla Playhouse and Diversionary Theatre, and teaching/directing projects with La Jolla High School, Junior Theatre, San Diego Unified School District, and my own private studio. I enjoy watching my students go on to succeed in choirs, youth symphony ensembles, theatre companies all over San Diego, arts magnets schools, and University level music and theatre programs.
