Our musical plays are based on 30 years of teaching experience. The original concept was developed by Jean Clark Laube. Her many years of teaching allowed her great insight to writing music for each themed play. The plays have been modified by an exceptional team of educators and a nationally-known children's music composer, Gary Fry.
Our plays allow an opportunity for all children to thrive, no matter their abilities, using the Mr Rhythm programs. The musical plays were written to be performed for any special occasion, including a mid-year program or parents' day at school or camp. Each song includes stand-in-place movements that can be taught during circle time or included with related materials you are teaching.

Mr. Rhythm is actually the work of a talented team of experts. Jean Laube wrote original music and script ideas for the plays. They are based on a seasonal theme, event or location. As she always did in her preschool, Laube's music and plays encouraged movement and imagination, using easy choreography, that allows children to explore.
Kay Laube Benson channeled her creative energy from years of work as a professional photographer and launched Mr. Rhythm Productions LLC.
The creators of Mr. Rhythm also share a commitment to making these programs available to children of all abilities. They enlisted the help of Claire M. Halloran, MA, CCC-SLP, of Chicago, to develop classroom-friendly adaptations that honor the functional needs of children living with disabilities. All children can fully participate in Mr. Rhythm productions.
