I am a second year, high school English Language Arts teacher. I was the instructor for Composition II (4 sections, grade 10), Public Speaking (1 section, grade 10), and Honors British Literature (1 section, grade 12) my first year of teaching. Now, I am the instructor for AP Literature & Composition (1 section, grade 12), British Literature (2 sections, grade 12), and Creative Writing (3 sections, grade 12).

I am a passionate English Language Arts educator with a background in Special Education, authentic assessment, data collection, and reflective teaching practices. I intend to work in a rigorous, collaborative high school that promotes student-driven learning experiences, social and emotional support for students, and opportunities for professional development. I have background working in suburban and urban environments while working with diverse populations of students in grades 9-12 as well as students with honors, 504s, IEPs, and Title 1 funding. It is my professional objective to provide a supportive classroom environment for all students by setting clear expectations for academic and behavior performance, upholding high expectations for student progression, and administering differentiated instruction and assessment, in addition to accommodations, that best fit student's individual needs. I am experienced with RTI while working as a paraprofessional and a professional educator and enjoying communicating and collaborating with support staff and professional staff in order to advocate for students' needs.
