I have 20 years experience teaching mathematics (mostly to middle school students with a little bit of elementary and high school thrown in). I'm currently teaching 7th grade math, primarily using Open Up Resources (Illustrative Mathematics), so you will see the majority of my resources align with this curriculum!
I am passionate about using active movement with rich math problems that engage the mind. Currently, I'm reading "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics" so you'll definitely see some ideas from the book in my products! My classroom is very problem-based with students generating ideas and taking ownership of them. My goal is to help students develop a love for and a deep understanding of mathematics.
