I am an Early Adolescence/English Language Arts National Board Certified Teacher since 2002. I earned my NBC renewal in 2012. My lessons have a creative twist to engage students, yet all are designed with academic rigor. All products offered come from my teaching practice and have proven successful time and again in my classroom. Please contact me with questions about implementing my materials with your students. As of the 2018-2019 school year, I have taught 32 years in an urban junior high/middle school setting.
Eclectic. If it works, I use it--from old school to high tech. I have considerable experience with project-based learning and high-stakes testing data analysis at the classroom level. Some of the experts who influence my teaching style are Phil Schlechty, Harry Noden, William Glasser, Rick Stiggins, John Collins, and Charles Beaman.
