TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been working to build a German program over the last 5 years, and am starting to really have some success with it! Organizing trips to Europe doesn't hurt, it turns out!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach using the TPR-Storytelling style, although I've adapted it slightly to fit me. I use the stories to teach, much like the model suggests; but I spend more time explicitly teaching than what I learned in conferences. I use technology moderately, am a firm believer that students learn more using pen and paper than through typing, although I am reluctant to keep tech out of my students hands for too long!
