I love what I do. I have taught for 24 years in 3 different school districts. I have been able to teach Kindergarten through 8th grade in some form or another over the years - from Special Education to Science Specialist to my own general education classroom. I have worked in year round schools and in traditional. I have been awarded District Teacher of the Year, and because of all that experience I began my own teaching blog, "I Love My Classroom", in the spring of 2012. Come visit! www.ilovemyclassroom.com
I believe that students will learn easier if it's fun. I try to incorporate hands on learning into every lesson simply because I want them to remember it. I want them to buy into it. My teaching style involves kids moving around the classroom, laying on the ground, being respectful to each other and to the teacher, learning through games and centers, and leaving 4th grade with fond memories of all they learned.

I am married and have 3 sons. Life is never quiet unless they are sleeping... and I'm still waiting for a dull moment. :) I wouldn't change a thing though!
