I am a highschool Spanish teacher, who happens to have studied a little French. I have taught Spanish in a public school for over 15 years. I earned my cerfitication and Master's Degree soon after I entered the field of Education. I served as a mentor teacher, Pathway to Educator Instructor, and ESL assistant. Traveling abroad allowed me to experience the language and culture first-hand.
I love to infuse culture into my classroom. Music, art, and dance are all important to me. My students are often using the language to communicate with one another, sing parts of a lyric, or understand the oral communication of others. I LOVE varierty as much as I LOVE color. We tackle vocabulary with a 1, 2 combo and fuse grammar with an upper-cut. I enjoy watching my students use the language in a personalized manner through projects and presentations. I always say, "Use your strengths to your advantage."
