Over 30 years of classroom practice.
My teaching style is centered around active methodologies and placing the learner at the forefront of the learning process. I prioritize the needs, interests, and abilities of my students, and design learning experiences that actively engage them in the process of acquiring knowledge, skills, and attitudes. As a student-centered teacher, I view my role as a facilitator, guide, and coach, rather than a lecturer or expert who simply transmits information. I encourage students to take ownership of their learning, ask questions, collaborate with peers, and apply what they learn in real-world contexts. I value the diversity of my students and strive to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment where all students feel valued and supported. Through my approach, I aim to empower students to become independent, self-directed learners who are equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed both academically and in their future pursuits.
