I have experience teaching private music lessons since 2010 on various instruments. I have been teaching concert band and orchestra in Colorado since 2014.
I like to think my teaching style is fun and relationship-based. I love connecting with my middle school students on a level that makes them feel safe and welcome in my classroom. I have taught music from PK-12 in public schools, and middle school is definitely the place for me! I love giving students the fundamentals they need in 6th grade, and watching them flourish into competent musicians throughout their middle school career. Nothing makes me happier than knowing that music will be part of a students' life forever!
In 2016, I received the "Spirit of the Mustang" award from my district. It is a district-wide award, given to 4-5 people per year.
I graduated with a degree in Music Composition from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs I received my K-12 Music teaching license through BOCES in 2014
