I began teaching high school English in 2003 at the Paideia School and later transitioned to teaching middle school Social Studies at the Friends School of Atlanta.
My passion is in unlocking the connection between the student and the content, discovering the relevance in their lives, and empowering students to feel a sense of self-confidence in knowing the material, and most of all, knowing how best they learn. I use humor. I use surprise. I use music, food, and sports. Current events and movies. I spiral through my curriculum to reinforce understanding and make connections.
