TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught Pre-K for 2 years, 1st grade for 2 years, and then stayed home with my young boys for 10 years. This is my 8th year back teaching Kindergarten.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My approach with my students is Hands-On Learning with an Integrated Curriculum. My classroom is very student focused! I have spent much time learning and aligning my curriculum needs with the Common Core State Standards.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

100% of my K Kiddos this past year were reading at or above grade level! That's an honor!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement and a Masters Degree in Education with a Reading Specialist. This is my 11th year of teaching (with a 10 year break to stay home with my sweet boys)! The last 8 years have been in Kindergarten! I love it!
