Literacy Pacing Guide with Complete Book List
My school is not a textbook school, so it is up to me to create my pacing guide and find the necessary materials. This is the entire third grade year mapped out by week. It includes Common Core State Standards with each week/unit. It includes a detailed listing of books and novels used in my classroom. When available, the lexile level is given for the books. Literature based Integrated Design & Tech Unit Plan
This is a fully integrated unit that encompasses Design & Technologies, Digital Technologies, English, HASS and Mathematics across a themed unit. It uses the Lynley Dodd "Hairy Maclairy" and "Slinky Malinki" books as a base. There are suggestions through the unit plan of how to incorporate learning from the books into all subject areas, and hints and tips of how to display your students' learning.Any area of this unit could also be taught as a stand alone area.
