What a better way to teach your students about the solar system then to have them make a planet journal! The journal includes a picture of each planet that the students can color, an area for them to write the name of the planet, and a place to write three facts they have learned. At the end of the journal there is a labeled diagram of each planet in the solar system. The journal is fun for the students and easy for the teacher!!

Weather calendar!! In my classroom I put these in a science weather three prong folder. Students are to color in the circle what the weather is like that day. If you want you can have students take them home over the weekend and record what the weather is, or you can catch up on Monday and see what they remember the weather was like.
