Project Based Learning--2 Part Word Problems (addition/subtraction)

This project connects to both math and language common core standards. After learning about two-step word problems, students will complete the project by coming up with their own 2-step word problem. The students work as a cooperative group to create a "story" on story jumper.com including their word problem and solution using a bar model . The students then present their word problem and solution to the class. This could be adapted to a lower or higher level.
