TEACHING EXPERIENCE

BS in Biology, Chem minor. MS in Science Education. 23 years teaching high school science. 7 years in a combined school, grades 7-12 and 16 years at a high school, grades 9-12. I have taught Biology, Anatomy and Biotech at Elko High School in Elko NV. I'm currently a secondary education instructor at Great Basin College teaching a Methods and Materials Course for Secondary Science Teachers as well as many teacher prep courses.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer teaching using Constructivist methods such as scientific inquiry. Lessons designed using the 5E format are generally what I design.
