Jaquetta T. Moore Jaquetta Moore is a native of Flint Michigan and graduate of Flint Northwestern High School. Her collegiate journey started at Davenport University; however she graduated under the former name of Detroit College of Business with her Associate degree in Business Administration. She continued her studies in Business Administration at the University of Michigan-Flint earning her Bachelors Degree. She went on to obtain her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Ferris State University. After working several years in the business industry Jaquetta earned her secondary teaching certification in Business Education, and a Vocational Occupational Certification in Business, Management and Administration, which complements her MCAS (Microsoft Certified Application Specialist) certification. She is currently working as a full-time Business Teacher at Carman-Ainsworth High School, and as an Adjunct Instructor at Davenport University. In April 2012 Jaquetta began developing her own business named: JMoore Professional Business Services, where she provides on-line administrative assistance support to other businesses. In the summer of 2013 she worked with the United Teacher of Flint (UFT) and Michigan Education Association (MEA) in training the Flint Community School District on her “Best Practice Professional Portfolio.” In 2014 she became a coach (Michigan) for the polite program Teacher Leadership Initiative (TLI) partnered by The Center for Teaching Quality (CTQ), the National Education Association (NEA), and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (National Board). TLI is a product of the organizations’ shared vision of teacher-leadership advancing the profession. Aside from her professional career she places high priority and honor on being a full-time mom and wife. She participates in her sons education by volunteering at his school functions and events, she serves on the school parent committee; and was recently appointed to the Michigan Family Alliance Board and GISD (Genesee Intermediate School District) parent advisory board. The most important aspect of her life is her FAITH and FAMILY.
