ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I began my career in education teaching music. Learning that children in other countries such as Hungary were expected to be musically literate made me wonder why many children in our country slip through the cracks and don't even become "literate". I went on to study literacy and taught in various early elementary level classrooms. I now teach in a school that specializes in differentiated instruction, and I teach upper school English and writing, 6th and 7th grade literacy, and lower school literacy (mostly grades 2 and 3). I also tutor, and I work to prepare students for all types of standardized tests, college essays, and academic support.
