The SMARTboard Lady

I am teaching for 15 years in various subjects. I taught 1st grade for the first 5 years of my full time teaching career, 2 of those years in an Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom. The next two years were spent in 2nd grade, with one of those years in an Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom. For the past 8 years I have been the Visual Arts Teacher for my PreK-5 school. All newer lessons will focus on arts subjects. I will post any older lessons from my 1st and 2nd grade days as time goes on.

I love taking an artistic approach to most things! I enjoy creating SmartBoard Lessons that my students will enjoy, immersing them in projects that are thematically inspired. I love to read to children and love to teach children how to read. I have been taught to teach in a Balanced Literacy Style and all forms of cooperative learning are included in all areas of teaching. I work with small groups, 1:1 student work and whole class lessons. I work in an Integrated Co-Teaching classroom and work right alongside another teacher, I love being able to bounce back and forth off one another to help attain understanding in all students.
