TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an elementary librarian since 2001. I teach PreK through 6th grade in the library on a regular fixed schedule, with a focus on library skills, reading, and language arts. Prior to being a librarian I spent 5 years in the classroom teaching grades 4, 5, and 6. I am a SMART Exemplary Educator and SMART Technologies Peer Educator. I was a Tennessee Common Core Coach for ELA grades 4-5.

I love helping students find their favorite book. In addition to reading, my library is full of STEM/STEAM activities to encourage discovery.
