I’m getting ready to start my 7th year of teaching. I taught 4th grade for 2 years and then was moved to 6th grade for 4 years. Next year I will be moving back to 4th grade. I love getting to work with children of different ages. I also have worked to obtain my math endorsement and am passionate about real world applications in the classroom.
I love giving my students a problem or an issue and then letting them ask questions and do research on their own. When they are able to figure something out, it means so much more to them than if I had spoon fed them the answer. Because of that, my math and science instruction is very much inquiry based.
Yet to be added
I graduated from BYU with a degree in Elementary Education, and minors in TESOL K-12, Music, and Family Life. I love to learn!
In my spare time, I love to read books and spend time with my husband and family. We love to go camping and be outdoors, but we can also appreciate a lazy Saturday spent watching Netflix. Life is wonderful.
