My experiences with Interactive Notebooks have been developed over my 12+ year teaching career, beginning with the basics in 4th grade and evolving into the middle school and high school Interactive Notebooks.
Read the room. If I am bored I know my students were bored a long time ago. My lessons are built around movement, individual, group, and entire class instruction. I also include many forms of artistic freedom within my math classroom. Visuals and hands on activities, including real world applications, are built into each lesson I teach in my classroom. With different learning styles present from student to student, we must use as many methodologies during the learning process as we can to allow for a total learning experience for each student. Students build their own Algebra resources within their notebooks on a daily basis. These notebooks include everything we do on a daily basis, from notes to foldables, to projects and quizzes. Students are constantly adapting to their understanding of math concepts, and more importantly, to their creative intuition that is often overlooked in classrooms around the world.

The name Teacher Warrior was bestowed upon me by a group of friends I met while traveling and teaching English in Budapest, Hungary. I was lucky enough to meet an amazing set of people through my travels, but sometimes a language barrier was placed between us. In one of these situations, I was given the name "teacher Warrior". I continue to laugh every time I hear this. It seemed like an easy choice when giving my TPT store a name.
