I am a former general and pre-AP middle school ELA teacher who has found her passion in youth services librarianship. At my small public library, I identify the needs of young patrons and create programs and storytimes to fill gaps in learning and prepare them for their next steps.
I would describe my teaching style as interactive and fun! I vary the stimuli as often as possible to prevent dull moments and reach different types of learners.

The name "Storytime Sprout" reflects my advocacy for lifelong learning. I am a young educator with so much to learn and I hope that my curiosity will be just as strong at age 70 as it is now at 23. I love to create lesson materials from scratch so that I can personalize them for my audience and learning goals. All materials I share here will be free or low-cost. On my website, storytimesprout.com, you can find storytime and program ideas, book recommendations by subjects, and advice for parents, teachers, and librarians. :)
