High school Spanish teacher, community college ESL teacher, and PhD student as well! I'm always excited to find and share new resources, and connect with other language teachers!
I am a big fan of inductive learning for teaching grammar!! This means I write a short conversation between two people using a specific grammar structure. I read it aloud while students follow along on the screen, students figure it out (critical thinking skills!), and together, we figure out a rule for the new grammar structure. Then, we do a variety of input/receptive activities, move towards productive activities, and finally, communicative activities. I also like teaching culture through webquests, authentic materials, videos, songs, pictures... as many ways as I can think of!
