For over twenty years I have been teaching at the SAME school. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grades. I also was a technology specialist. I have coached new teachers k-3 in the county. I have served as Lead Mentor, Technology Lead, Team Leader, and Science Lead.
We work hard and play hard in my class! Integrating language arts and math into science and social studies is my passion. Children love to play, so I create resources where they are given the opportunity to play while learning!
Teacher of the Year Nominee
I earned my BA in elementary education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I completed my MEd. in reading at George Mason University.
I met my husband at my school, we got married, bought a house in the neighborhood, and had a son. Now the three of us go to school together every day. My life is my school!
