I have been teaching middle school and high school math for 22 years and still love it! I am currently teaching advanced 6th grade students who are learning 7th and 8th grade standards as well as 7th grade students who are learning Algebra.
My style is constantly evolving the more I learn in my graduate classes, from colleagues, from Pinterest, from blogs and through experience. I believe students learn best from doing so I try to create a classroom where students are actively problem solving as much as possible.
I was selected as a teacher peer mentor at Rutgers University and had the privilege of working with Dr. Michael Weingart and assisted in teaching a probability and statistics course for educators in the summers of 2013 and 2014.
I graduated first in my major from Villanova University in 1997. I am currently studying for a Masters of Teaching Mathematics at Rutgers University and have one class to go!! Yippee!!!
I have two AMAZING children, a son and a daughter, and the most supportive and fun husband any woman could ever want! We live at the Jersey shore and only fist pump occasionally! ;)
