I have 21 years of experience teaching Biology and Chemistry at the secondary level, with students from a variety of educational backgrounds. Having taught courses ranging from general education to Advanced Placement to co-op settings with special education students, I recognize the value of differentiated instruction and an adaptable curriculum. Currently, I teach 9th grade honors biology, 10th grade honors chemistry and 12th grade honors organic chemistry.
I believe in melding the arts with science to reach students of all learning styles. In my classroom, we craft foldables that illustrate the process of photosynthesis, sketch out cell structures, and work cooperatively to build molecular models. I run a lab nearly every week to offer students first-hand experience with new concepts. The integration of technology is also important to my teaching style and success. I've designed my own websites, games, and learning resources to suit my own classroom. Now, I'm excited to share my new creations and my most effective materials with yours!

I attended Penn State University, where I earned a Bachelor's in Secondary Education with dual certification in Biology and Chemistry. Later, I pursued a Master's in Science in Multimedia Technology, which continues to inform my interest in bringing creativity, technology, and science together in the classroom.
