TEACHING EXPERIENCE

3rd year Middle/High school Science teacher Adjunct professor since 2014 Previously a researcher in Microbiology (PhD 2010)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I incorporate phenomena-based learning in the science classroom. The science classroom should be fun and full of questions and discussion. I love the use of storytelling to help comprehension. Project-based, collaborative, and student-led learning are fundamental!! Science education needs to include literacy in addition to CER.
