TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for the past 8 years. I have mostly taught science, but have also taught math, social studies and reading. I am very passionate about what I do and love my Catholic faith!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Simply put, I consider each day that I teach as another opportunity to inspire, engage and get to know my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I received the Science Education Award from the “World Space Week” Organization in 2008 (see below) My Award-Winning Video

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2005! Whoop! I received my undergrad at Texas A&M in 2005 and have been teaching since.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Hi Guys! My Name is Rebecca and I just started selling on TpT June of 2014 (the very end of June). So far, creating lessons on TpT has been so much FUN! I'm very passionate about what I do (especially science)... hence my store name "Science Girl Lessons." I met my husband in 2008 on a retreat. We started spending more and more time together and ended up getting married in January of 2010. Since then, we have bought a house, had 3 children (one just recently), & have tried to be as active as we can in the lives of our children & our faith. Max (our oldest), will be 4 in July, Angleica is 2, & Anthony was born August 15th of 2014. I first started teaching in January of 2006 and have been teaching since May 2014. I've been off an on of maternity leave... part-time and full-time. It's been a crazy ride, but a good one. This year I decided to take the year off and focus on staying at home with the 3 little ones. Growing up, my parents owned a bakery in Dallas (they sold it in 2005) and I was able to learn some small business basics, cake decorating, customer service, baking, and how to train others. I attribute my creative side to my cake decorating experiences. I play the flute & guitar and recently figured out how to create clip art! View my BLOG and come see what else I've been up to! http://www.sciencegirllessons.blogspot.com/
