TEACHING EXPERIENCE

-English for Secondary Teachers: Western Kentucky University: Graduated Spring 2015 -English Teacher: East Robertson High School: Fall 2015 to Present -Belmont University: Graduate School-English -I teach English 1010 and 1020 for APSU.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I hate lectures. If I have to lecture, it's no more than 10 minutes long. It's boring to me as a teacher, so I know it's boring for students. I want my student actively involved in the classroom. They should be having so much fun learning that they don't know they're learning. I love and try to practice the gradual release method. I like to bring Literature to life by bringing attention to things in book chapters that students will remember.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Still waiting on awards and honors... *crickets* My students think I'm hilarious, and that's enough for me.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

-English for Secondary Teachers: Western Kentucky University: Graduated Spring 2015 -Belmont University: Graduate School-English: will Graduated August 2021

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

It's crazy to think I'm not a first year teacher anymore. It went by so quickly that I hardly had time to think about it. I've learned so much in my years of teaching, and I'm eager to learn more in years to come!
