MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe within each child there lies a genius in waiting. It is my job, as an educator, to be patient and kind and with time, each child will reach their potential.

Awarded top graduating English student award--many moons and a lifetime ago.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a mother and I think the qualities necessary to mother are those same qualities inherent in a good teacher. Over my teaching career, I've been a member of Americorps, working with adjudicated teens; an enrichment teacher; run a small school library and taught English and America literature; and worked in an urban setting in a large middle school as both an 8th and 6th grade ELA teacher. I have a B.A. in English literature, a Master's Degree for Teachers of English, and am Sheltered English Immersion endorsed by the state of Massachusetts.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Lucky am I to have had each of my wonderful students: they are the brilliance and promise of a better tomorrow.
